Owner report 11413537 · 2021-04-23 (April 23, 2021)

THIS IS A COMPANY CAR AND I SOMETIMES WORK FROM THE BACK SEAT DURING MY TRAVEL TO CLIENTS AS IT'S LARGE AND COMFORTABLE. I RECENTLY HAD OCCASION TO MEET WITH A CLIENT DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER SO WE WERE IN THE REAR OF MY CAR FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. AFTER THIS TIME I COULD NOT RELEASE THE DOOR LOCKS WITH THE KEYLESS REMOTE, I AM PARTIALLY DISABLED AND HAD TO CLIMB OVER THE FRONT SEATS TO MANUALLY RELEASE THE DRIVER'S DOOR! I WAS TRAPPED AND MY CLIENT WAS VERY UPSET. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. ALL DOORS - WITH THE EXC…

Owner report 11434777 · 2021-09-28 (September 28, 2021)

I am not aware of an accident involving this defect. I am reporting a safety concern that occurred to me after I bought the car. All door controls(inside and out) are electronic. Doors are electronically opened by pressing a button. In the event of a crash that disables the electric system, occupants would be trapped in a locked car with no way to open the door. For this apparent reason, the driver's side door has a very small mechanical lever low on the driver's side door panel that will open the door in case of electrical failure. Howev…

Reported: 2019-02-11 (February 11, 2019)

22V644000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Reported: 2022-08-26 (August 26, 2022)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2020 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental vehicles equipped with the 360-degree camera system. Degradation of the camera's anit-reflective lens coating can lead to a foggy or cloudy rearview camera image.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-800-1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S51.

25V442000 · Back Over Prevention:Software

Reported: 2025-06-27 (June 27, 2025)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, MKX, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

Consequence: A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 4, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S72.
