TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2008 LEXUS LS600HL. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE PAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 LEXUS LS600HL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THERE WAS A HUMMING NOISE HEARD FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY. THERE IS A CLICKING OR POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, AND WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT WITH THE BRAKES APPLIED. THE FREQUENCY OF THE NOISE HAS INCREASED WITH A SENSATION UNDER YOUR FOOT. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL LEAD TO SOME TYPE OF ABS BRAKE FAILURE. I DID AN ONLINE SEARCH FOR THIS NOISE AND IT LOOKS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE LS MODELS. NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. VGRS RECALL 10V218000 TOYOTA/LEXUS HAD A RECALL FOR 2009 AND UP MODELS OF THE LS VEHICLE FOR STEERING NOT RETURNING TO CENTER DURING DRIVING OPERATIONS OR COMPLETE LOCKED TURNS. WHICH CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT. THIS RECALL SHOULD HAVE STARTED IN 2008 AND NOT JUST 2009 AND UP. 2008 THE LS460/600 FIRST DEBUTED. Reported: 2010-07-06 (July 6, 2010)
TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2008 LEXUS PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 26, 2005 THROUGH AUGUST 4, 2008. MICRO-FOREIGN OBJECTS IN THE MATERIAL OF THE VALVE SPRING MAY DEGRADE THE STRENGTH OF THE VALVE SPRING, POSSIBLY CAUSING THE SPRING TO BREAK.
Consequence: THE ENGINE COULD FAIL AND STOP SUDDENLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.

Reported: 2014-10-15 (October 15, 2014)
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 Lexus LS vehicles manufactured May 9, 2006, to July 20, 2010, 2006-2011 Lexus GS vehicles manufactured January 6, 2005, to September 10, 2010, and 2006-2011 Lexus IS vehicles manufactured August 30, 2005, to September 10, 2010. Due to anti-corrosion plating remnants, fuel may leak from where the fuel pressure sensor is attached to the fuel delivery pipe.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will clean and reseal the fuel pressure sensor mounting area, free of charge. The recall began March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
