I RECENTLY LEASED A 2014 LEXUS IS 250 ON 11/24/2013 AND EVER SINCE THE FIRST MONTH OF HAVING THE VEHICLE I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH DRIVER SIDE MECHANISM. THE ISSUE HAPPENS PERIODICALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE PROBLEM HAPPENING IS WHEN I ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE LOCKED DOOR WITH THE DOOR HANDLE OR WITH THE REMOTE THE CAR WILL CONTINUOUSLY BEEP AND NOT OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. ALL OF THE OTHER DOORS INCLUDING THE TRUNK WILL OPEN BUT EXCEPT THE DRIVER?S SIDE DOOR. THE ONLY WAY TO ENTER THE VEHICLE IS THROUGH THE DRIVER SIDE WILL BE TO GO TO THE…

Owner report 10640227 · 2014-09-30 (September 30, 2014)
WITHOUT WARNING, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING AS I WAS DRIVING SO I PULLED OFF THE ROAD ONTO THE SHOULDER. ONCE THE CAR STOPPED, SMOKE BEGAN TO COME THROUGH THE VENTS SO I EXITED THE VEHICLE. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER I COULD SEE FLAMES COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. BEFORE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT COULD MAKE IT TO THE SCENE, THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF THE CAR BURNED COMPLETELY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SAID THEY WERE GOING TO CLASSIFY IT AS A "MECHANICAL FAILURE". *TR

Owner report 10664153 · 2014-12-14 (December 14, 2014)
ON DEC. 2, 2014, I WAS ENTERING A WALGREEN'S PARKING LOT IN MY LEASED 2014 LEXUS IS 250, WHICH I HAD OWNED FOR ONLY 4 MONTHS WITH 1740 MILES. MOVING AT 5MPH OR LESS, I TURNED THE WHEEL TO ENTER A PARKING SPACE, WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND TOOK OFF. I PRESSED THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE CAR JUMPED UP OVER A PLANTED MEDIAN FILLED WITH BUSHES, TREES AND A PHONE POLE. THE FRONT TIRES BECAME LODGED IN MUD AND THAT STOPPED THE CAR. I MISSED THE TELEPHONE POLE BY LESS THAN 1 FOOT. LUCKILY, I HAD AN INDIVIDUAL WITN…

Owner report 10681856 · 2015-02-06 (February 6, 2015)
I SMELLED SOMETHING ELECTRICAL WHILE DRIVING BUT I BELIEVED IT WAS OUTSIDE. A DAY LATER I HAPPENED TO LOOK DOWN AT THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT AND NOTICED A SMALL HOLE FORMING. THE SEAT WARMER MALFUNCTIONED AND BURNED THROUGH THE LEATHER LEAVING A HOLE IN MY BRAND NEW SEAT. I AM LUCKY I NOTICED THIS BEFORE ANY MORE DAMAGE WAS DONE. *JS

Owner report 10711977 · 2015-04-21 (April 21, 2015)
MY 2014 LEXUS IS 250 DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK OR LET ME IN AT RANDOM. WHEN APPROACHING THE VEHICLE AND PRESSING THE "UNLOCK" BUTTON ON MY KEY FOB, ALL DOORS WILL UNLOCK EXCEPT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. WHEN THIS OCCURS, YOU MUST WALK TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR, AND THEN IT WILL WORK AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YOU NEED ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN, AS THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO ENTER THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE WHEN NEEDED. AFTER LEAVING MY 2014 IS 250 AT THE LEXUS DEA…
