ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2019, MY WIFE AND 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER PULLED INTO OUR DRIVEWAY IN OUR 2019 RANGE ROVER VELAR. SHORTLY BEFORE PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND A COOLANT ALERT WENT OFF. THE CAR THEN BURST INTO FLAMES WHILE PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. MY WIFE QUICKLY GOT OUR DAUGHTER OUT OF HER CAR SEAT AND RAN ACROSS THE STREET TO CALL 911. JUST AS SHE GOT TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET, THE CAR EXPLODED. SEE ATTACHED PICTURES. *PLEASE NOTE: THIS FORM WAS FILLED OUT ON BEHALF OF OWNER BY COUNSEL.

FOR TWO YEARS THIS CAR AS HAD NUMEROUS EPISODES OF WHILE DRIVING COMPLETELY SHUTTING DOWN WITH NO ADVANCED WARNING AND AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. I HAVE DRIVEN ON WARM, COLD, WET AND DRY DAYS WHEN THIS HAS OCCURRED. MOST RECENTLY I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN STREET WHEN THE CAR JUST SHUT DOWN AND WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE MANY TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION, THEY SAY THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE AUTOMOBILE AND I AM LUCKY THAT THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO AVOID THE COLLISION. I AM AFRAID TO D…

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The Auto High Beam (AHB) system does not indicate through the instrument cluster when the high beams are illuminated automatically. Consequence: The driver may be unaware that the high beams are illuminated, reducing visibility for oncoming traffic, and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N556.
