My 2014 Land Rover LR2 HSE STARTED SMELLING STRONGLY OF FUEL IN LATE APRIL,2022. I contacted LAND ROVER NORTH AMERICA CUSTOMER RELATIONS ON 5/2/22 about the problem. Cris Willis opened Case# 8000998446 to assist me. He stated it was a recall issue awaiting parts to become active. Then on 6/15 Cris W. contacted me again requesting I make appt. with my local LR dealer and now they could inspect car and replace any defective parts. On 6/21 I messaged Cris that I had made appt. The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated noticed an abnormal fuel odor coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact noticed fuel leaking towards the bottom of the fuel tank. The vehicle was diagnosed with a defective fuel tank flange. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated there was an abnormally strong gasoline odor inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that there was condensation underneath the vehicle while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel flange was cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 14V395000 · Air Bags
Reported: 2014-07-01 (July 1, 2014)
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 LR2 and 2012-2013 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. A component within the Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may fail, resulting in the front seat passenger air bag being totally or partially disabled.
Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, if the air bag is disabled, the air bag may not deploy or may not deploy properly, increasing the risk of injury to the front seat passenger.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the Restraint Control Module software, free of charge. The recall began on August 30, 2014. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P046.
