The front brakes of the machine are inconsistent in how much lever effort is required to get the bike to stop. At slow speed, there is sometimes not braking force when pulling the brake lever. At slow speed, there is sometimes a tremendous amount of braking force when pulling the lever. At high speeds, the brakes are often good and work as expected. While commuting by highway to my place of work - motorcycle surged and "Low engine oil pressure" warning came on display. Immediately shut off motorcycle and attempted to maneuver the bike to a safe place to stop while avoiding traffic. Upon investigation, visually found low engine oil level, but no oil leaks present anywhere. Refilled oil to correct level on sight-glass, and attempted to restart engine, but engine presented with serious knock and "bad" sounds. Immediately shut down engine and trailered motorcycle to authorized service center.
