TIRE BLOW OUT. I WAS PULLING MY CAMPER AT 60 MPH, JUST N OF THE FLA LINE ON 1-95. THE ROAD TEMPERATURE WAS MODERATE. I CHECKED TIRE PRESSURE BEFORE LEAVING SAVANNAH, 80 PSI. THE TIRE HAD APPROXIMATELY 4500 MILES ON IT, IT WAS NOT WORN AND WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. THE TIRE BURST WITH A LOUD NOISE AND IMMEDIATELY DEFLATED. I HAD TO CHANGE THE TIRE ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. WE REPLACED THE TIRE IN JAX FLA. THE TECHNICIAN EXAMINED THE TIRE AND SAID HE HAD NO CLUE WHY IT FAILED. I AM TIRED OF TRAILER TIRES BLOWING OUT. I HAVE HAD THREE TIRE FAILURES ON…

I HAVE HAD THREE TIRES EXPLODE WHILE PULLING MY 2013 5TH WHEEL CAMPER. ONE TIRE FAILED IN MARCH OF 2015 AND I RECENTLY HAD TWO MORE FAIL JULY THE 3RD OF 2015. I HAD TO BUY NEW TIRES WHILE TRAVELING. THE TWO THAT FAILED IN JULY DID OVER $5,000.00 IN DAMAGE. I AM VERY MAINTENANCE MINDED AND THE TIRES WERE WHAT APPEARED TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS CORRECT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 KEYSTONE LAREDO EQUIPPED WITH SUTONG, TIRE LINE: SUPERCARGO, TIRE SIZE: ST 235/80R16 TIRES (N/A). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, AN ABNORMAL VIBRATING AND RUMBLING SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE HAD BLOWN OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE CONTACT REPLACED THE TIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500. THE DOT NUMBER AND VIN WERE UNAVAILABLE.

Reported: 2013-04-23 (April 23, 2013)
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 recreational trailers equipped with Dometic 9100 Power Awnings or Weather Pro awnings, awning serial numbers 306xxxx through 314xxxx, manufactured between February 13, 2013, through April 9, 2013. If the awning installation sequence was not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowningly become damaged. A damaged motor may lead to an unfurling of the awning.
Consequence: If the awning unfurls unexpectedly either in transit or while parked, it may increase thre risk of personal injury or a crash.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners and dealers will replace the awning motor, free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2013. Owners may contact Keystone at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's campaign recall number is 13-193.

Reported: 2013-07-10 (July 10, 2013)
Keystone RV is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Laredo Fifth Wheel vehicles, models 270SRL, 280SBH, 290SRE and 293SBH, manufactured March 6, 2013, through June 27, 2013. The battery box has inadequate support for the battery and the box may fall out of position during travel.
Consequence: The battery box may fall out of position resulting in electrical shorts which may lead to a fire. Also, the battery box may fall from the vehicle creating a road hazard.
Remedy: Keystone RV will notify owners and will install a battery box mounting reinforcement kit, free of charge. The recall began on July 22, 2013. Owners may contact Keystone Customer Service by calling 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's identification code for this recall is 13-194.

Reported: 2017-11-22 (November 22, 2017)
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018.
