WE OWN A 1999 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LARADO AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE WE BOUGHT IT. THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK HAS GONE BAD YOU CAN LOCK ALL THE DOORS WITH THE REMOTE BUT HAVE TO LOCK THE DRIVERS SIDE BY HAND AND IT MAKES A LOUD BUZZING SOUND WHEN LOCKING & UNLOCKING. OUR TIRES HAD\VE ALREADY HAD TO BE REPLACED WITH ONLY 50,000 MILE ON THE VEHICLE THE IN DEC 2002 THE VEHICLE STARTING MAKING A LOUD WHINING SOUND WHEN REACHING SPEEDS OVER 45+ THE SOUND WOULD INCREASE UPON LETTING UP ON THE GAS PEDAL. IT INCREASING BECAME WORSE WHERE IT…

HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE ROTORS FIXED 4 TIMES IN 65,000. CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY IN FRONT AND DIFFICULTY STOPPING AT SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 35 MPH. HAVE NEVER HAD A VEHICLE WITH AS MANY BRAKE PROBLEMS AS THIS JEEP HAS HAD. NORMALLY BRAKES SHOULD NOT REQUIRE REPAIR FOR THE FIRST 45,000 MILES. THE BRAKE SYSTEM HAS ENGINEERING FLAWS. *JB ***DIMSII IVOQ ENTRY POSTED AFTER 12/12/02 CUT-OVER TO ARTEMIS****768320

EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK. IT MAKES A LOUD BUZZING SOUND WHEN UNLOCKING USING THE REMOTE OR MANUALLY. THE DOOR WILL UNLOCK BUT WON'T LOCK. ALARM WILL SOUND EVEN IF DOOR IS UNLOCKED WHEN OPENED AND REMOTE HAS BEEN USED TO LOCK ALL OTHER DOORS. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE FRONT ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS REPLACED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR. *JB

Owner report 10037558 · 2003-09-09 (September 9, 2003)

I BOUGHT A 99 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LORADO WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, I WAS TOLD IT WAS BUMPER TO BUMPER, BUT WHEN THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REDONE AND THE ROTORS WARPED THE COMPANY TOLD ME THEY ARE ONLY COVERED TO 15,000 MILES, AND THAT THEY WOULDN'T REPLACE THE ROTORS THAT WARPED BECAUSE THEY AREN'T COVERED ANYOMORE. SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK WITH 35,000 MILES ON IT AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERS IT TO 100,000, I THINK THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD REPLACE THE ROTORS THAT WERE BAD TO BEGIN WITH.*AK

PURCHASED A 1999 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO ON 12/23/2002 WITH 36400 MILES ON IT. I HAVE HAD THE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS REPLACED TWICE IN 4 MONTHS. NOW THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL I.E. REAR WHEEL BEARINGS NEED TO BE REPLACED. ESTIMATED TO HAVE $800.00 IN REPAIR, AND JEEP IS MAKING A HORRIBLE WHINING, GRINDING NOISE. COMPANY REFUSES TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT. CURRENT MILEAGE 52,000. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS PARTICULAR PART SHOULD LAST THE LIFETIME OF THE VEHICLE. ANOTHER MECHANIC TOLD US THIS YEAR AND MODEL THAT JEEP IS KNOWN FOR THIS TROUBLE ALO…
