– Electrical fire is possible at the wiring (12V and 110V) connecting the slide out room to the main trailer body. Closing the slide is jamming the wires between two metal flaps resulting in wire jacket damage and exposing the wires under power. – The 110V hot wire was damaged by another part mounted to the trailer frame resulting in shortening hot wire to the frame, spark and burning of electrical wire in she short proximity of combustible underbelly insulation material. – The dealer has not been contacted. – The vehicle was not inspected. – T…

Component: Electrical wiring on the slide is contacting edge of trailer flashing when fully retracted into trailer. In the attached photos you can see where the flashing has contacted the wire loom numerous times, you can see indentations in the cable jacket, and you can see that the flashing is slightly bent where making contact. The flashing is installed to be flush with the surface on the other side of the cables. There is no room for the cables how its constructed. We bought a 2021 Jayco 224BHW that was pre-wired with a solar panel and controller. The trailer came with one 100-watt panel and a 30-amp charge controller with a stated capacity of 600 watts. We added two more 100-watt panels, for a total of 300 watts and approximately 16 amps. The documentation with the trailer as well as the dealer confirmed we could add two more 100-watt panels and be well within specifications. The contact owns a 2021 Jayco Jay Flight SLX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V685000 (Equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. This RV was equipped from the factory with an axle on which was a sticker stating that the axle had a "D35 Capacity" of 3500 lbs. The RV also has a sticker stating that the GVWR is 4200 lbs and the "weight of this recreational vehicle trailer as completed at the factory with full propane cylinder(s) and full generator fuel if applicable is 1624 kg OR (3582 Lbs.)" 21V685000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems
Reported: 2021-09-02 (September 2, 2021)
Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Jayco Eagle, Talon, 2020 Eagle HT, 2021 Jay Feather, Jay Flight Bungalow, Jay Flight Octane, North Point, Octane Super Lite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2021-2022 Jay Flights SLX, Jay Flight, and 2017-2021 Seismic recreational vehicles, equipped with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator, and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 1, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Flight SLX recreational trailers. The cooktop is installed in a cabinet that may not be entirely sealed from the furnace. As a result, during furnace operation, the interior range cooktop burner flame may invert.
Consequence: An inverted flame can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will install sealant and plywood panels, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 29, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901571.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Jayco Jay Feather, Jay Flight, and Jay Flight SLX travel trailers. The cooktop flame may invert when the stove and furnace are operated at the same time.
Consequence: An inverted cooktop flame increases the risk of injury or fire.
Remedy: Dealers will install sealant and plywood panels to seal the area, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 29, 2022. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901582.
