The contact owns a 2020 Jayco Jay Flight SLX RV. The contact stated their RV was parked at a campsite, when the contact was attempting to light their stove, it failed to light the stove so the contact turned off the stove. Propane tanks were full and the contact checked the refrigerator when the contact noticed smoke coming from the cabinet above the refrigerator. The contact stated someone from the outside of the RV stated they saw fire coming from the vent from the top of the roof. The contact had extinguished the fire with water and a fire …

Reported: 2020-04-28 (April 28, 2020)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2020 Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailers manufactured in the Idaho facility. The propane supply hose connection to the refrigerator may be improperly tightened, possibly resulting in a propane leak.

Consequence: A propane leak can increase the risk of an explosion or fire.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will conduct a leak test at the refrigerator connections, repairing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 13, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901509.

Reported: 2021-03-17 (March 17, 2021)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Jayco White Hawk, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Feather, and Jay Flight travel trailers equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.

Consequence: A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and Dometic service centers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901566.
