TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 JAGUAR XF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT A RAILROAD CROSSING, ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED HIM WHICH KNOCKED HIS VEHICLE INTO THE MOVING TRAIN. The contact's son owns a 2017 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that there was water inside the trunk of the vehicle where the battery was located. The contact was unaware of the location of the leak. The contact stated that the electrical wiring was corroded from the water intrusion. The contact was concerned that the electrical system might fail due to the failure. The contact's son reached out the manufacturer for assistance but had not receive a callback. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

On May 2, 2026, ten days after purchasing the vehicle, the driver‑side seatbelt locking mechanism failed while I was driving. The vehicle was inspected the next day at CarMax Tuscaloosa. Their mechanic confirmed two separate safety defects: 1. The driver‑side seatbelt mechanism requires replacement. 2. The motor mounts are broken/loose and require replacement. 17V084000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings
Reported: 2017-02-09 (February 9, 2017)
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017 XF vehicles. The affected vehicles may have a cracked left hand inner sill panel. In the event of a crash involving a left hand impact, the cracked sill panel may result in the underfloor fuel lines rupturing and leaking fuel.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle's left inner sill panel. If cracks are found, Jaguar will repurchase the vehicle and supply the customer with a new vehicle, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is K458.

Reported: 2017-10-26 (October 26, 2017)
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace, 2016-2017 Jaguar XJ and 2018 Jaguar XE vehicles. The instrument cluster (IC) may intermittently go blank.
Consequence: A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H056.
