Owner report 11680109 · 2025-08-12 (August 12, 2025)

I am the owner of a 2019 Jaguar XE with fewer than 50,000 miles on it. On July 11th, 2025, the check engine light came on, prompting me to drive straight to the Jaguar dealership for diagnostic evaluation. Upon inspection, I was informed that I needed a new timing chain, sprockets, and coolant pump. Shortly after, I became aware of Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #H299NAS2, issued by Jaguar on December 22, 2020. This TSB acknowledged an issue with the Variable Camshaft Timing Solenoids and instructed dealers to perform repairs under warranty …

My rear camera stopped functioning before recall service, which is why I brought the vehicle to the dealer. After performing the recall repair, the dealer advised that the camera itself may have failed and may require replacement outside the recall remedy. My concern is that the recall-related condition either caused or contributed to the c…

Owner report 11762595 · 2026-09-07 (September 7, 2026)

I am concerned that a potentially serious engine/timing-system defect may exist in my 2019 Jaguar XE R-Sport 2.0L Ingenium gasoline engine (64,820 miles). Jaguar Service Action H299 addresses VCT solenoids on certain 2018–2020 XE models, and my VIN falls within the identified VIN range. In August 2026, my vehicle developed a VCT/camshaft-related fault. An independent Jaguar/Land Rover repair facility replaced the camshaft adjuster solenoids, but the problem persisted as indicated by the engine service light. The vehicle then began running notic…
