THE FLYWHEEL MALFUNCTIONED ON MY JAGUAR F-TYPE BUT JAGUAR, EVEN THOUGH THEY UPDATED THE PART NUMBERS FOR THE FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH, AND DESPITE THE FACT THAT ANY MALFUNCTION WITH THE FLYWHEEL IS GOING TO COMPROMISE THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AS THEY ARE CONNECTED MECHANICALLY, ARE REFUSING TO CHANGE THE CLUTCH AND ONLY THE FLYWHEEL. WHEN CHANGING LANES @ APP. 45MPH, THE CAR INITIALLY FELT AS IF IT WOULD ROLL OVER. THE CAR THEN SWERVED RIGHT AND LEFT , NEARLY PUSHING ME INTO THE TRAFFIC IN THE NEXT LANE. STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL, REQUIRING MY FULL STRENGTH. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THE CAR STRAIGHTENED AND STEERING EFFORT RETURNED TO NORMAL.THIS OCCURRED ON A SMOOTH, 4-LANE ROAD WHICH WAS DRY. JAGUAR SERVICE PERSONNEL WERE AWARE OF SIMILAR ISSUES BUT COLD NOT IDENTIFY A CAUSE.

FOLLOWING "REPAIRS" AT THE DEALERSHIP ON COOLING SYSTEM, CAR NOTIFIED ME OF OVERHEATING HALF WAY HOME WHILE ON HIGHWAY. AFTER NEARLY CRASHING AND BEING HIT IN TRYING TO PULL OVER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, I OPENED THE HOOD TO FIND THE COOLENT LINES HAD BEEN SHAVED AND REPAIRS IN OTHER AREAS VERY POORLY DONE. CAR CONSTANTLY IS LEAKING COOLANT AND OIL. I HAVE ALSO REPLACED THE BATTERY 4 TIMES AND THE CAR REQUIRES DAILY JUMP STARTING. THIS CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. WHEN SHIFTING UP, EVEN IF YOU TAKE YOU FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR COMPLETELY, THE ENGINE DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE ACCELERATOR INPUT AS IT REMAINS AT THE RPM WHEN THE SHIFT WAS INITIATED ( 3500 RPM AS AN EXAMPLE ) FOR OVER A SECOND, DROPS 200 RPM THEN INCREASES 50 RPM AND THEN FINALLY WILL DROP TO IDLE. I own a 2016 Jaguar F-Type R. Some of these cars have an inherent manufacturing flaw with the coating on the trim pieces. From my research I discovered that this is a wide ranging problem for their vehicles in geographic locations that are consistently hot. Jaguar Land Rover North America is well aware of this problem. On 1/24/20 I brought my vehicle in for service. On this service call the vehicle was under warranty. I pointed out the issue with the right side vent trim piece, the worst of the deteriorating parts. I was traveling at the legal speed limit of 70 mph on the freeway with no vehicles within 50 yards of my vehicle in all directions. 15V569000 · Steering:Electric Power Assist System
Reported: 2015-09-11 (September 11, 2015)
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LCC (Jaguar) is recalling one 2016 Jaguar F-Type vehicle manufactured February 3, 2015. The affected vehicle has the power steering system still set in the supplier's factory operating mode. In this condition, in the event of a steering system malfunction, the vehicle can experience additional steering inputs from the electric power steering system.
Consequence: If the vehicle is in motion when this occurs, the driver may unexpectedly lose the ability to control the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify the owner, and a dealer will either correct the steering system software or replace the steering rack, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 31, 2015. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J055.
