Owner report 11707279 · 2025-12-27 (December 27, 2025)
While driving at normal speed, I suddenly heard a very loud explosion-like “boom” coming from the roof of the vehicle. I immediately pulled over and discovered that the panoramic roof glass had shattered, leaving a large opening/hole in the glass. There was no impact from any object, no debris strike, and no visible impact point or damage consistent with road debris. Nothing hit the vehicle before or during the incident. The failure occurred suddenly and without warning, creating a serious safety concern. Shattered glass could have entered the …

Owner report 11734204 · 2026-04-28 (April 28, 2026)
I am submitting a safety complaint regarding the driver assistance system (ProPILOT Assist) in my 2024 Infiniti QX80. The behavior of this system creates a potentially dangerous driving condition. When ProPILOT Assist is engaged, the vehicle consistently delays braking until the last possible moment, then applies sudden and aggressive braking rather than smooth deceleration. This creates a high risk of rear-end collisions, especially in moderate to heavy traffic where gradual speed adjustments are expected. In addition, the lane-keeping funct…

Owner report 11743998 · 2026-06-14 (June 14, 2026)
many times when I am using pro pilot assist it does not brake to point when it is inches of crashing into car in front, I manually have to apply brakes. in addition while being in full automatic mode (hands free mode) it turns off lane keeping assist completely where if the driver was not Able to make split second decisions it would collide with vehicle near it. there is no warning for pro pilot assist mode to be driven below or above a certain speed, Infiniti dealer advised it should not be used for bumper to bumper traffic or within city. but…

Owner report 11757125 · 2026-08-15 (August 15, 2026)
On numerous occasions the pro pilot feature has malfunctioned and aggressively jerked the vehicle to the left causing us to almost hit the concrete wall divider. The cruise control turns off and on numerous times when trying to change lanes. It drives dangerously close to semis when passing on the left, almost crossing into the right lane. I've taken the vehicle to the infiniti dealership and they tell me they can't duplicate it but don't do anything about it. I had my husband drive it as well and it does the same thing to him.

Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
25V821000 · Back Over Prevention:Software
Reported: 2025-11-26 (November 26, 2025)
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Murano, 2025-2026 Armada, and Infiniti QX80 vehicles. A software error may occur in the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The IVI system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25D6, R25D5, and R25D7. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 12, 2025.

Reported: 2026-07-15 (July 15, 2026)
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, and 2014-2027 QX80 vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Consequence: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Additionally, Nissan will mail replacement labels to owners. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 2, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated Fall 2026. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R26B1 and P6A13/4. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.
