Owner report 11529022 · 2023-06-26 (June 26, 2023)

The vehicle, with low mileage and no accidents, has had a few engine-related issues over the last few months. Recently, I went to turn it on, and many components of the car wouldn't work (no parking, power steering, engine issues, seats won't move, etc.). I live in a very dangerous city, and my car not working has placed me in a dangerous concern for my well-being. I took it to certified Infiniti dealer who said that the entire electrical harness has been damaged, rendering the vehicle a safety hazard, and quoted me $19,000 in repairs. Infiniti…

Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

17V691000 · Air Bags:Frontal

Reported: 2017-11-01 (November 1, 2017)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling 2017-2018 Infiniti QX30 vehicles. The driver's air bag may unexpectedly deploy due to insufficient grounding of the steering components if an electrostatic discharge occurs and the air bag clockspring is broken.

Consequence: If the driver air bag inadvertently deploys, it can increase the risk of injury and a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will add sufficient grounding to the steering components, free of charge. The recall began March 26, 2018. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-622-6200, option 7.

18V355000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage

Reported: 2018-05-30 (May 30, 2018)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018 Infiniti QX30 vehicles. The bolt securing the right-hand side lower seat belt anchorage may have been incorrectly installed during production. This can result in the lower seat belt anchorage detaching in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with certain requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages", number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies, and number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Consequence: If the lower seat belt anchorage detaches in a crash, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will weld in a new retaining plate and secure the seat belt anchorage with a new anchor bolt, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired July 17, 2018. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

19V654000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Reported: 2019-09-12 (September 12, 2019)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
