The gauge cluster display is inaccurate and very slow to display information such as speed/rpm/fuel lever/neutral selection etc. this causes a very dangerous situation where critical vehicle information is inaccurate and not being displayed to the operator in real time which could lead to an accident

Owner report 11624561 · 2024-11-11 (November 11, 2024)
I was parked in the Sam’s parking lot, bike had been parked for approximately 2 hours. My wife, myself and my son were all there at the time this event transacted. My wife had her Jeep and I was on my bike as I had met them there to do some shopping. While loading my wife’s car I decided to start my bike and start getting a little heat in it before we left. I approached the bike and pressed the power button, Ride command normally takes over 30 seconds to boot, so I stood there waiting for the screen. Once the screen booted I reach down with my…

Owner report 11654867 · 2025-04-15 (April 15, 2025)

It seems to be in the throttle sensor. The bike has began to randomly shut down on my while riding. This is always random and cannot be reproduced at will. It does however seem to only happen with a zero throttle position and clutch fully disengaged position (while riding). This is not quite the case when pulling out, the issue presents with a slig…

1. While holding a constant line and speed, I suddenly felt a sharp jolt from the rear of the motorcycle followed by rapid bouncing. 2. The rear wheel locked instantly. I heard the tire skid and felt it stop rotating. 3. The ABS indicator illuminated, yet there was no braking input from me. 4. I attempted gentle steering correction, but with the rear wheel fully locked the motorcycle destabilized and threw me to the right. 5. I struck the pavement injured my left knee and right hand. The motorcycle slid and came to rest on the northeast sidewal…

24V970000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Engine Control Module (Ecu/Ecm):Software
Reported: 2024-12-23 (December 23, 2024)
Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain 2025 Scout and Scout Sixty motorcycles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of affected trims. The gear position display may falsely show that the motorcycle is in neutral. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."
Consequence: The motorcycle may move unexpectedly when the transmission is actually in gear, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the Engine Control Module (ECM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 29, 2025. Owners may contact Indian customer service at 1-877-204-3697. Indian's number for this recall is I-24-11.
