THE TREAD REMAINED IN ONE PIECE BUT THERE WAS A CLEAN & COMPLETE SEPARATION FROM THE SIDEWALLS APPROX. 2 INCHES FROM THE BEAD [BOTH SIDES]. THERE WAS NO WARNING [VIBRATION, RUMBLING, LOSS OF CONTROL, ETC.] UNTIL THE FAILURE AT APPROX. 65 MPH ON INTERSTATE 93, CONCORD, NH. IT WAS A CLEAR, COLD [17 DEG. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA RIDGE LINE TRUCK. THE CONTACT TESTED THREE CHILD SAFETY SEATS TO ENSURE THAT THE TETHER STRAP WOULD WORK PROPERLY. THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSPECTOR ATTEMPTED TO INSTALL THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT ,AND STATED THAT THE TETHER FAILED TO LOCK. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE DEALER AND WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE. WHEN THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE BUTTON, THE VEHICLE MOVED SIX FEET BEFORE THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ENGAGED. HE STATED THAT THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE DISENGAGED WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A RESULT OF HOW THE VEHICLE WAS ENGINEERED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 7,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

I OWN A 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE. MY WIFE COMPLAINS ABOUT THE PASSENGER SEAT HEATING UP ALL THE TIME WITH THE SWITCH IN THE OFF POSITION. I HAVE ALSO FELT THE HEAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WITHOUT THE SWITCH TURNED ON. I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCK TO LUCAS HONDA OF JACKSONVILLE, FL SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS NO PROBLEM. MY 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE VIN[XXX] IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD I WAS DRIVING BACK WITH MY FAMILY WHICH INCLUDES CHILDREN ON I95 SOUTH BOUND. I WAS DOING 70MPH. I DID NOT GO OVER ANYTHING. THE HONDA LOST POWER. I HAD TO GLIDE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE HONDA WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. VEHICLE WAS IN FULL SIGHT DURING A 3-HOUR VISIT WITH A FRIEND. UPON LEAVING, NOTICED GLASS ALL INSIDE THE CAB AND BED. CENTER, SLIDING PORTION OF REAR WINDOW APPEARED TO HAVE EXPLODED. NO EVIDENCE OF VANDALISM WHATSOEVER. DEALER STATED THEY WOULD HAVE A FIELD ENGINEER EVALUATE THE SITUATION, BUT AFTER TWO WEEKS THERE WAS NO RESULT, SO I OPTED FOR MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO REPLACE THE GLASS. *TR

THREE TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR, A PIECE ON THE TOP OF MY 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE HAS BECOME DETACHED. THE FIRST TIME, THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT REPLACED THE RETAINING CLIPS. THE SECOND TIME, THE PIECE FLEW OFF WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, HITTING A CAR BEHIND ME. THE DEALER REFUSED TO FIX IT. I CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATE WHO REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DEALER, AND THEY FIXED IT REPLACING ALL DESIRED PARTS. THE THIRD TIME WAS JUST THIS PAST SATURDAY. HONDA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 AND 2007 RIDGELINE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JANUARY 17, 2005, AND JUNE 7, 2006. A WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR FOR THE HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) BLOWER MOTOR LOCATED UNDER THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL MAY BE ACCESSIBLE TO KICKING BY THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER'S FEET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE CONNECTOR TERMINAL MAY OVERHEAT, AND THIS MAY CAUSE THE WIRE INSULATION TO MELT OR THE WIRING CONNECTOR TO MELT.

Consequence: SHOULD THE WIRING INSULATION MELT AND THE EXPOSED WIRES MAKE CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER (SHORT CIRCUIT), A FIRE MAY OCCUR.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND IF THE WIRING CONNECTOR IS DAMAGED IT WILL BE REPLACED AND ALL VEHICLES WILL HAVE THE PROTECTIVE COVER INSTALLED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 15, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Honda CR-V, 2011-2015 CR-Z, 2010-2014 FCX, and Insight, 2009-2013 Fit, 2013-2014 Fit EV, 2007-2014 Ridgeline, 2013-2016 Acura ILX, 2013-2014 Acura ILX Hybrid, 2007-2016 RDX, 2005-2012 Acura RL, 2009-2014 Acura TL, and 2010-2013 Acura ZDX vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.

Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are JY0, JY1, and JY2.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling specific 2003 Acura 3.2CL, 2013-2016 ILX, 2013-2014 ILX Hybrid, 2003-2006 MDX, 2007-2016 RDX, 2002-2003 3.2TL, 2004-2006, and 2009-2014 TL, 2010-2013 ZDX and 2001-2007 and 2009 Honda Accord, 2001-2005 Civic, 2003-2005 Civic Hybrid, 2001-2005 Civic GX NGV, 2002-2007 and 2010-2011 CR-V, 2003-2011 Element, 2007 Fit, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2008 Pilot, and 2006-2014 Ridgeline vehicles. The affected vehicles received a replacement driver air bag inflator as part of a previous Takata inflator recall remedy or a replacement driver air bag module containing the same inflator type as a service part. Due to a manufacturing error, in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver frontal air bag, these inflators may explode.

Consequence: An explosion of an inflator within the driver frontal air bag module may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver, front seat passenger or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's air bag inflator with an alternate inflator, free of charge. The recall began April 10, 2019. Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2006-2014 Ridgeline vehicles that were sold, or ever registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. An accumulation of road salt may cause the frame mounting surface, where the fuel tank mounting bands are attached, to corrode and possibly detach the fuel tank, which can result in a fuel leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear frame, as necessary, free of charge. Depending on the extent of any corrosion damage, Honda may offer to repurchase the vehicle.
