2025 Honda CR-V HYBRID: complaints, problems and recalls

When driving in heavy the front wipers do not move fast enough to clear the rain. The passenger side wiper also pushes a ‘puddle’ of water right into the driver’s view. I couldn’t see anything for that second. I could get video if I have a passenger when it happens again.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the steering wheel made it difficult to turn to the left or right. The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving and making a right or left turn, the steering wheel was momentarily stiff. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact recently received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering); and related the failure with the recall. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,500. This is a complaint about the unresolved recall that I have been put on a waitlist for many months now. The Dealership said that Honda will mail me when the parts will be ready for repaired, but it’s been many months since the NHTSA saying the remedy is available. My appointment with the dealership had been canceled the last minute by my dealership after a promise of a mailing notice, but time has flew long enough. I am afraid for my safety on the road as my new vehicle is completely within the range of damage for the unresolved remedy.

The headlights on this vehicle are very dim. It's very hard to see when traveling at night in dark areas and even much worse when in inclement weather. Calls to the dealer have all ended with them saying they have had no complaints but many consumers across the country have filed similar complaints online. Please assist in any way you can. **The date entered below relates to the date I first leased the vehicle. I have not had an accident.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Consequence: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

Reported: 2024-10-14 (October 14, 2024)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may crack and leak fuel.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 20, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PJW.

Reported: 2025-06-05 (June 5, 2025)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid vehicles. The fuel feed hose may have been improperly installed, allowing fuel to leak. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 301, "Fuel System Integrity."

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a new fuel feed hose and connector cover, free of charge. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is TLS.

Reported: 2026-06-04 (June 4, 2026)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025-2026 CR-V Fuel Cell EV vehicles. When using the tire repair kit, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach.

Consequence: A detached bottle cap can become a projectile and strike the user or others nearby, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the tire repair kit nozzle or sealant bottle, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed July 27, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in Fall 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is DOV. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 11, 2026.
