I RECEIVED A WARANTEE RECALL NOTICE FOR MY HONDA CB300R MOTORCYCLE EARLY AUGUST. IT IS NOW MIDDLE,LATE SEPT. ALMOST 60 DAYS. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPAIRED AS DESCRIBED ON HONDA SAFTEY RECALL NOTICE NHTSA RECALL 16V-528 AT THE HONDA LOCATION AT 14827 N CAVE CREEK RD. PHOENIX AZ. 85032. [phone removed]. THE SERVICE DEPT. TECH DERRICK, WAS VERY HELPFUL AND HE INFORMED ME THAT HONDA HAD TO SEND A REPAIR KIT TO THEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA CBR300R. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V528000 (ENGINE). SINCE THE REPAIR, WHEN THE CONTACT SWITCHED GEARS OR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN NEUTRAL, THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND THE WHEEL RUBS AGAINST THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,050.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

WHILE RIDING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY I HEARD A LOUD POP. FELT LIKE THE BACK TIRE WAS LOCKING UP ON ME. ONCE I GOT OFF THE MOTORCYCLE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE ENGINE.

IM HAVING TROUBLES WITH DOWNSHIFTING, THE CLUTCH IS FINE AND WAS TOLD THE FRONT SPOCKET SEEMS SUPER LOOSE. I HAVE TO ROCK IT TO GET IT INTO FIRST. I WAS RIDING THE OTHER DAY AND OUT OF KNOW WHERE MY BIKE SHUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF A SHIFT DOIN 45 IN 5TH. 15V439000 · Electrical System:Starter Assembly:Relay
Reported: 2015-07-08 (July 8, 2015)
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 ST1300PA, 2014-2015 CB500, CBR500, CRF250L, CBR650, CTX700, NSS300, VT750, VT1300, 2015 CB300F, CBR300, CBR600, and 2014-2016 NC700 motorcycles. In the affected motorcycles, sealant may have been incorrectly applied to the starter relay switch, and as a result, the electrical system may have a loss of power.
Consequence: A loss of electrical power may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected starter relay switch, free of charge. The recall began on August 31, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is JS9 and JT0.

Reported: 2016-07-12 (July 12, 2016)
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 CBR300RA, CBR300R and CB300F motorcycles. The affected motorcycles may have an improperly machined crankshaft which may result in the failure of the connecting rod bearing retainer.
Consequence: If the connecting rod bearing retainer fails, the engine may stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the crankshaft assembly, free of charge. The recall began on August 26, 2016. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KB9.
