FRAME CRACKING IN SEVERAL PLACES AROUND SPRING SHACKLES, BETWEEN TIRES. STARTED AS STRESS FRACTURES. NOW HOLES AND CRACKS 12 INCHES LONG. I HAVE CONTACTED HIGHLAND RIDGE, LIPPERT FRAME COMPANY, SALES POINT. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY RV. HOWEVER AFTER LIPPERT SENT ME AN EMAIL TELLING ME THEY WOULD NO LONGER COMMUNICATE WITH ME. Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

17V065000 · Suspension:Rear:Axle:Non-Powered Axle Assembly

Reported: 2017-02-01 (February 1, 2017)

Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Open Range fifth-wheel vehicles. The axle hangers on the affected vehicles may puncture the riser tube wall, allowing the axle to shift and become misaligned.

Consequence: If the axle shifts and becomes misaligned the tires may wear irregularly and possibly fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Highland Ridge will notify owners, and dealers will weld on new hangers, free of charge. The recall began on March 29, 2017. Owners may contact Highland Ridge customer service at 1-260-768-7771. Highland Ridge's number for this recall is 9904343.
