ENGINE REPEATEDLY STALLS AT IDLE WHILE MOVING IN NORMAL STOP AND GO TRAFFIC CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. POTENTIAL PROBLEM WITH "HEAT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" WHICH REPORTEDLY RESTRICTS FUEL TO ENGINE IN ADVANCE OF AN OVERHEAT CONDITION THEREBY LOWERING RPMS BELOW NORMAL IDLE SPEED TO THE POINT AT WHICH THE ENGINE WILL STALL, EVERY TIME. ENGINE IDLE SPEED FAILURE HAPPENS ONLY WHEN AIR TEMPERATURE IS GREATER THAN 70 DEGREES, ENGINE IS WARMED UP, AND OPERATING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE INJECTORS TURNED BACK ON CAUSING A SLIGHT JERK AT 1800 RPM WHEN THE VEHICLE DECELERATED. THE JERKING OCCURRED EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DECELERATED TO 1800RPM, THEN IT WOULD CONTINUE DECELERATING NORMALLY. THE OCCURRED AT 25 MPH WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING RIGHT ON A DRY FLAT ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON 07/05/06 WHO CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS OPERATING NORMALLY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLTRI ROADGLIDE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,870.
