DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MOTORCYCLE'S WINDSHIELD POPPED LOOSE WHILE BEING TOWED AT 65 MPH. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A CLEAR, DRY ROAD SURFACE. THE CLIMATE WAS SUNNY. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE MOTORCYCLE AND NOTICED THE WELL NUT CAME OUT OF THE HOLE WHERE THE WELL NUT WAS SECURED TO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WELL NUT HOLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CIRCULAR, INSTEAD IT WAS OBLONG. TWO DEALERSHIPS WERE CONTACTED AND DETERMINED THAT THE FARING WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.
