WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONSUMER TRIED TO RESTART IT, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DO SO. THE CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE ELECTRIC EJECTION PUMP, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK NO MATTER WHAT SPEED THE VEHICLE WAS GOING, THE ENGINE WOULD DIE AS THE KEY WAS TURNED OFF. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY, BUT SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T RESTART UNTIL IT WAS "WORKED WITH." THE ELECTRIC INJECTION PUMP WAS REPLACED FOR A THIRD TIME. I AM AFRAID BRAKE LINES MAY RUPTURE PREMATURELY DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUST AND PITTING. INDEPENDENT MECHANICS VERIFY MY FEELINGS. *NM

FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS NOW (SINCE 2005),MY 2000 GMC FUEL GAUGE FLUCTUATES REGARDLESS HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. I CAN BE AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND GAUGE WILL GO TO EMPTY AND REMAIN THERE UNTIL I PLACE THE SHIFTER INTO NEUTRAL AND GAUGE NEEDLE WILL MOVE TO FUEL LEVEL. I'VE HAVE GONE TO GMC AND CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPTS. AND BOTH SAID THEY ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE AND ADAPTER KIT FOR AROUND $150. I BELIEVE THAT THIS DEFECTIVE GAUGE PROBLEM SHOULD BE RECALLED SINCE THERE ARE MANY TRUCKS WITH THIS PROBLEM AND I BEL…
