GMC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE DURING A SERVICE REPAIR (FUSE) YEAR AGO (PROX) WHICH THE STEERING COLUMN WAS LOOSE AND GRADUALLY BECOMING LOOSER. MAIN NUT WAS SECURE HOWEVER IN JUNE OF 2008 I COULD HAVE LOST MY LIFE BECAUSE THE CAR LOST CONTROL , AND LOCKED COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL WHEN THE CAR WAS MOVING. ALLDATA HAS NO REPORT OF THE BOLTS BEING A SAFETY INTEREST REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. MULTIPLE MECHANICS FAILED TO RELY ON THE COMMON SENSE, CULPABLE COLUMN HAS LIMITATIONS WHEN PLASTICITY OF THE BOLTS THREADS DO NOT HOLD THEM IN PLACE , NO LOCK TIGHT…
