I WAS INVOLVED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE QUARTER PANEL WAS HIT. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN EITHER CAR. IMMEDIATELY UPON THE COLLISION, I TRIED TO STOP THE CAR, BUT IT ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN. THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40 MPH WITH BOTH HANDS AND A GOOD GRIP ON THE STEERING WHEEL I FREQUENTLY RECEIVE THE DISPLAY WARNING "KEEP HANDS ON STEERING WHEEL" AND A LOUD AUDIO WARNING. THE LOUD WARNING IS NOT ONLY ANNOYING BUT STARTLING TO EVERYONE IN THE CAR. IF I TAKE MY HANDS OFF THE WHEEL THE MESSAGE GOES AWAY. THERE IS A RECALL I LEARNED THROUGH MY OWN RESEARCH HEARING ABOUT IT THROUGH THE NEWS MEDIA. MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER006G NHTSA RECALL NUMBER21V160000 I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER OR DEALER ABOUT A PROBLEM. I DID ASK ABOUT IT ON A ROUTINE SERVICE CALL. AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER MAINTENANCE REPRESENTATIVE YES THERE IS A RECALL AND NO FIX WAS AVAILABLE. AS THIS IS RELATED TO THE BRAKES, MY QUESTION IS: IS THE CAR SAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 GENESIS G80. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V160000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT GREGORY HYUNDAI LOCATED AT 490 SKOKIE VALLEY RD, HIGHLAND PARK, IL 60035, [phone removed]) HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

The contact owns a 2019 Genesis G80 equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Conti Pro Contact, Tire Size: 245/40/R19, DOT Number: (not available). The contact stated that he had experienced a tire blowout on the passenger side front tires on two separate occasions. On the first occasion, while driving 60 mph, the passenger’s side front tire had a blowout. Unkown. My genesis G80 sport "ghost brskes". While driving all is call and fine. But when I initiate the brakes to come to a full stop gradually.... I will feel the vehicle apply extra brakes than which I am apply. And this happens consistently.

While entering a parking space at approximately 5 mph the gas pedal stuck and accelerated causing the car to jump curb and hit a wall causing severe damage to car and driver.The engine was still rerving and had to be shut down after the incident.

Randomly, infrequently when driving at highway speed with both hands on steering wheel get alarm and message to keep hands on steering wheel. I momentarily release and re-grip steering wheel and sound and message eventually disappear. No pattern as to when this occurs except at highway speeds.

21V160000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Antilock/Traction Control/Electronic Limited Slip:Control Unit/Module
Reported: 2021-03-10 (March 10, 2021)
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2015-2016 Genesis and 2017-2020 Genesis G80 vehicles. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module could malfunction and short circuit.
Consequence: An electrical short circuit inside the ABS module could cause an engine compartment fire while parked or driving.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the remedy is complete. Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS module fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 6, 2021. Owners can contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 201 and 006G.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2015-2016 Genesis, 2017-2019 Genesis G80, Genesis G90, and 2019 Genesis G70 vehicles. Water may enter the starter solenoid and cause an electrical short, which can result in an engine compartment fire while parked or driving.
Consequence: An engine compartment fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will install a remedy relay kit in the engine junction box, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 15, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 254(H) and 018G(G).

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Genesis G80, 2017-2022 G90, and 2019-2022 G70 vehicles equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine. The left turbocharger oil feed pipe may deteriorate and leak oil.
Consequence: An oil leak in the presence of hot engine components can increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the left turbocharger oil feed pipe, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 3, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 019G. This recall expands and replaces recall number 19V-538. Vehicles previously repaired under 19V-538 will need to have the new remedy completed.
