TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A FREEDOM MODEL T220 TRAILER (NA). THE TRAILER WAS ATTACHED TO A 2005 GMC G3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE THREE WELD POINTS THAT WERE ATTACHED TO THE FRAME OF THE TRAILER WERE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL TRAILER REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THE ENTIRE HITCH ASSEMBLY WAS REBUILT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT HAD NOT YET RESPONDED TO THE CONTACT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,500.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FREEDOM SPIRIT FS-340RL-105 TRAILER. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH AND HAULING THE TRAILER THE HYDRAULIC BRAKES FAILED. THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE WOULD NOT STOP THE TRAILER AND CAUSED IT TO CRASH INTO HER VEHICLE. THE BUMPER OF HER VEHICLE AND THE TRAILER WERE DAMAGED ALONG WITH ANOTHER VEHICLES FRONT BUMPER. THE TRAILER WAS DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED. NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
