ON THE POLICE INTERCEPTOR SUV EXPLORER, ALL DRIVER'S LIGHTS SHUTTERS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. HIGH BEAM STAYS ON DRIVERS SIDE AND DOES NOT GO BACK TO REGULAR BEAM. THIS PROBLEM IS ON THE RED LAKE FLEET OF 6 SUV'S POLICE VEHICLES. I ALSO CONTACTED BELTRAMI SHERIFF DEPARTMENT AND THEY ALSO ADVISED THEY HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE SHUTTERS ON THEIR FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR VEHICLES TOO. STEERING GEAR LOCKED UP. WE NOTICED IT WAS MAKING NOISE SO WE STOPPED DRIVING IT AS A PRIMARY PATROL CAR AND DROVE IT TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP (APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES AWAY) AND THE STEERING QUIT WORKING IN THEIR DRIVEWAY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR UTILITY. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHEN DEPRESSED. ALSO, THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT BRAKE HYDRAULIC HOSE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,704.

VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 71,000 MILES AND HAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FOR A FAILED CATALYTIC CONVERTER THIS IS NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. WE HAVE MULTIPLE VEHICLES IN OUR FLEET WITH THE SAME CONCERN, AND AROUND THE SAME MILEAGE, THAT HAVE HAD CONVERTERS REPLACED AND ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

Reported: 2013-05-31 (May 31, 2013)
Ford is recalling certain model year 2013 Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion, Police Interceptor Sedan and Police Interceptor Utility vehicles; and certain model year 2013 Lincoln MKS, MKT, and MKZ vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the fuel delivery module may develop a crack, allowing fuel to leak.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel delivery module, free of charge. The recall began on July 20, 2013. Owners may contact Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's recall campaign number is 13S04.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013 Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the fuel delivery module may crack, allowing fuel to leak.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire.
