I WAS ALMOST KILLED YESTERDAY (2-12-03) AS I DROVE MY 2002 FORD MUSTANG IN BUSY TRAFFIC. SUDDENLY THE CAR LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. I PRACTICALLY WRENCHED MY BACK AS I FORCIBLY STEERED THE CAR AND USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO PULL SAFELY TO THE CURB. FORD ROADSIDE SERVICE ARRIVED AND DISCOVERED THE SERPENTINE BELT HAD COMPLETELY COME OFF AND WAS DRAGGING ON THE GROUND. GALPIN FORD DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BELT BUT SAID NOTHING ABOUT POSSIBLE DEFECTS TO THE BELT OR THE CAR. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR - WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BE…

AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT DURING A RAIN STORM. I ATTEMPTED TO PULL OUT AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE MOTOR DIED. I STARTED THE CAR RIGHT BACK UP. THE NEXT DAY MY BELT STARTED SQUEAKING. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE. ALSO, DURING THE FIRST 10 DAYS OF BUYING THE CAR THE THROW OUT BEARING HAD TO BE REPLACED.

APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE THE CONSUMER BEGAN HEARING A "SQUEALING" NOISE COMING FROM REAR SUSPENSION WHILE DRIVING.
