DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT SHOULDER HARNESS RETAINING BOLT BECAME DETACHED FROM THE WALL ALLOWING THE SHOULDER HARNESS TO DROP TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED IN A REST AREA ON INTERSTATE 35 NORTH OF AUSTIN TEXAS. IT BECAME DETACHED AS I WAS PUTTING ON MY SEAT BELT. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL THE RETAINING BOLT WAS NOT TORQUED DOWN. I REINSTALLED THE BOLT BY HAND AS TIGHT AS I COULD GET IT. WHEN I RETURNED HOME THE DEALERSHIP PICKED UP THE MOTORHOME FOR ANOTHER SAFETY RELATED INCIDENT UNRELATED TO THE SEAT BELT. UPON ARRIVING HOME IN SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FROM A TRIP TO SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS THE ENTRY STEPS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR TO STEP OUT. A CLOSER LOOK REVEALED THE STEPS DID NOT DEPLOY BECAUSE WELDS IN TWO CORNERS OF THE BATTERY BOX THAT HOLD THE BATTERY BOX IN PLACE HAD FAILED ALLOWING THE BATTERY BOX TO DROP DOWN ONTO THE STEPS AND SOME WIRES THAT RAN BENEATH IT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER. UPON TURNING THE KEY, THE STARTER CRANKED BUT THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING THE VEHICLE TOWED WHEN IT WAS NOTICED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE FUEL LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT SQUIRRELS CHEWED THE FUEL LINES AND FURTHER TESTING WAS REQUIRED TO DETERMINE IF THEY COULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO PREVENT THE FAILURE. THE DOMETIC WIND PRO 9100 AWNING UNFOLDED WHILE DRIVE AND CAUSED 9000 THOUSAND DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO MY FLEETWOOD BOUNDER 35 K RV. THIS AWNING WAS RECALLED IN 2013. IT OCCURRED AGAIN. THE RV WAS TRAVELING AT 65 MPH ON THE KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL HIGHWAY IN DELAWARE, EXIT 136.

I AM THE OWNER OF A 2015 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER 35K. I'VE ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM WITH THE EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOWS (2 OF 3) IN THE COACH, WHERE THE METAL CLOSING MECHANISM DETACHES FROM THE WINDOW GLASS. THE WINDOWS ARE MANUFACTURED BY HEHR AND INSTALLED ON NUMEROUS FLEETWOOD RV PRODUCTS. ONCE DETACHED, THE WINDOW MUST BE TAPED SHUT TO PREVENT WATER INGRESS INTO THE COACH, ELIMINATING THE USE OF THE EGRESS WINDOW FOR ITS INTENDED EMERGENCY EXIT FUNCTION. One of the HEHR windows blew off of the motorhome while driving down I-5 in California. The window shattered. (Fortunately it did not hit the motorhome driving behind us, and fortunately we were in the right lane so it didn't hit anyone else.) We had to go two and a half months driving with no window in that place (the bedroom) - we, of course, blocked it with styrofoam, etc and good old duct tape for the rest of our trip. 17V584000 · Electrical System:12v/24v/48v Battery
Reported: 2017-09-20 (September 20, 2017)
REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2013-2015 Fleetwood Bounder and 2013-2016 Fleetwood Southwind recreational vehicles. The welds attaching the battery tray may be insufficient. As a result, the tray may separate from underneath the chassis.
Consequence: An unsecured battery tray can cause a battery acid leak or an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire or injury.
Remedy: REV will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the battery tray, and install fasteners, if necessary, to secure the battery tray, free of charge. The recall began on November 17, 2017. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417. REV's number for this recall is 170914REV.
