Owner report 10920308 · 2016-10-31 (October 31, 2016)

I HAVE A CRACK 6"-8" HORIZONTALLY ON THE I-BEAM DIRECTLY OVER THE AXLES. I'M UNSURE WHEN IT HAPPENED. I READ ABOUT OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO CHECK MINE. I'VE LEFT MESSAGES WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND HAVEN'T RECEIVED A REPLY. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE AND I'M WONDERING IF A RECALL HAS OR WILL BE ISSUED.

NOT SURE WHEN IT HAPPENED BUT WHEN I WENT TO SELL MY TOY HAULER THAT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION AND NEVER HAD ANY TOYS IN IT. A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER CAME TO CHECK IT OUT AND POINTED OUT THE CRACKS IN THE FRAME RIGHT ABOVE THE SHACKLES ON BOTH SIDES.

THE CONTACT WAS ESCORTED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FAILURE WAS CONFIRMED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS PROVIDED A BLUEPRINT TO WELD THE FRAME TOGETHER. THE BELOW INFORMATION IS REGARDING MY 2014 ATTITUDE 23FB WITH A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WHILE I WAS DRIVING . WE WERE DRIVING HOME FROM OUR FAMILY TRIP TRAVERSING ON A 2 WAY ROAD ALONG A CLIFF AND THE LEFT REAR 2ND AXLE TIRE BLEW OUT. WE BARELY WERE ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. I PUT OUT OUR WARNING DEVICES AND ALSO HAD MY WIFE TRY TO SLOW AND DIVERT TRAFFIC TO THE NEXT LANE. I PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES FOR MY RV ON MARCH,20 2021 AND IN TOTAL THEY ONLY HAVE 210 MILES ON THEM AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. WHEN I GOT HOME I PERFORMED AN EXAMINATION OF THE …
