The rear brakes continually lose braking power. Have had them bled at the dealership, which they said should fix the issue. However it comes right back as I continue to ride my bike. This is dangerous because I have to rely completely on my front brakes, even in emergency situations. This can cause the bike to flip.

I was riding the motorcycle and coming to a stop using engine braking. The rear felt like it was locking up and I was slowing down much faster than I should have been considering what I was doing. I pulled off the road and got off and discovered the rear brake like was on fire. The lines had melted and caught fire. Ducati had had a history of rear brake issues and I’ve found similar incidents on forums all over the internet. Bike is currently in the shop and Ducati dealer is blaming the issue on my riding or the aftermarket rear set. But a melt…
