I CALLED TO CHECK ON THE RECALL STATUS OF MY CAR. I WENT ONLINE AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS RECALLS. THE DEALERSHIP I CALLED SAID IT SHOWS MY CAR HAS BEEN CLEARED OF ALL RECALLS; HOWEVER, I HAVE NEVER TAKEN MY CAR IN TO HAVE A RECALL FIXED. WHO UPDATES THIS INFORMATION?

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE STRATUS COUPE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V338000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE....UPDATED 02/08/16 *BF UPDATED 04/23/18*JB *CN

TAKATA RECALL: 3RD RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED FOR AIR BAG STRIKING PASSENGER SUN VISOR; 1ST NOTICE RECEIVED MID-JULY 2015; DESPITE MULTIPLE REQUESTS TO CROSS CHRYSLER IN LOUISVILLE, KY WHERE VEHICLE IS NOW SERVICED NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE; PER CROSS CHRYSLER PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE; THIS IS 2ND REPORT MADE TO US DEPT TRANSPORTATION REGARDING FAILURE TO FIX RECALL ITEM. THIS IS UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO FIX THE PROBLEM. MUST A PASSENGER OF MINE HAVE TO BE INJURED TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED?
