WHEN I BOUGHT MY TRUCK IT WAS JUST THREE YEARS OLD AND 50% OF THE PAINT WAS PEELING OFF IT. IT'S SILVER AND SINCE THEN I'VE SEEN MANY OF THE SAME COLOR, HAVEING THIS PROBLEM: FORD AND CHEVY HAD A PAINT RECALL; WHY WON'T DODGE? NOW THE TRUCK IS 80% PEELING, PERSONALLY I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE OF BAD PRIMER. I HAVE TALKED TO FOUR DODGE DEALERSHIPS IN THE AREA, THEY ALL TOLD ME THEY HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT COLOR. THEY SAID THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURE WON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND COMPENSATE THE OWNERS.

A BRAKE FAILURE DUE TO A RUPTURE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE HOSE CONNECTED TO THE CALIPER. THIS FAILURE LED ME TO NARROWLY ESCAPE AN ACCIDENT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT. THE FAILURE APPEARS TO BE CAUSED BY THE BRAKE LINE BEING TOO SHORT CAUSING EXCESSIVE FLEXING DURING TURNING AT THE CRIMP CONNECTOR ON THE CALIPER END OF THE BRAKE LINE. *JB

THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RUN OUT OF GAS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WARMED UP, IT SHUT OFF. THE CONSUMER FELT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. *NLM THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. A GRINDING NOISE HAD COME FROM THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. THE PINION GEAR HAD GONE BAD. THE ENTIRE REAR END WAS REPLACED AND THE 20K MILES LATER WAS REPLACED AGAIN. (THE SAME PROBLEM) *SCC *JB

CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF CAUSING CONSUMER TO PULL OVER. DEALER NOTIFIED. *MR THE DEALER COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. ON ONE OCCASION IT HAD TAKEN THREE HOURS TO DRIVE FIVE MILES. THE CONSUMER WAS GIVEN AN EXPERT OPINION AND WAS TOLD IT WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH WAS REPLACED BUT LATER CUT OFF FOUR MORE TIMES. THE SECOND EXPERT OPINION WAS THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE FUEL PUMP BUT IT WAS IN WORKING ORDER. THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON AND READ FAULT…

I STOPPED MY 1995 DODGE RAM PICKUP, PUT IT IN PARK, AND GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK TO TALK TO A MAN TO GET DIRECTIONS TO A PHARMACY NEARBY. I TALKED TO THE MAN FOR A MINUTE OR SO AND HE TOLD ME THAT MY TRUCK WAS BEGINNING TO ROLL. IN MY ATTEMPT TO STOP THE TRUCK THAT WAS ROLLING BACKWARDS TOWARD A BUSY STREET, I FELL AND THE FRONT TIRE ON THE PICKUP RAN OVER BOTH OF MY LEGS. THE TRUCK HAD SLIPPED FROM PARK INTO REVERSE. THIS RESULTED IN A BROKEN FIBULA IN MY LEFT LEG WITH DEEP CUTS ON MY LEFT ANKLE. THE RIGHT LEG WAS SEVERELY CUT ALL THE WAY TO …

THE VEHICLE HAD AN EXHAUST LEAK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THERE WAS NO RECALL. *AK THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE GAS TANK WHERE THE GAS TANK ENTERED. THERE WAS A RUBBER SEAL WHERE THE METAL PIPE WENT INTO THE TANK. THE RUBBER DISSOLVED FROM THE GAS TANK AND CAUSED GAS TO LEAK OUT. *SCC *JB
