A BRAKE FAILURE DUE TO A RUPTURE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE HOSE CONNECTED TO THE CALIPER. THIS FAILURE LED ME TO NARROWLY ESCAPE AN ACCIDENT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT. THE FAILURE APPEARS TO BE CAUSED BY THE BRAKE LINE BEING TOO SHORT CAUSING EXCESSIVE FLEXING DURING TURNING AT THE CRIMP CONNECTOR ON THE CALIPER END OF THE BRAKE LINE. *JB

THE PROCEDURE THAT DEALERSHIP PERFORMED FOR RECALL 00V135000 CONCERNING IGNITION SWITCH IS CAUSING OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM COMPONENTS TO FAIL. *AK THERE WERE TWO POWER FAILURES, THE BRAKE LIGHTS HAD GONE OUT ALONG WITH THE CLOCK AND RADIO. THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT ALL OF THE WIRES THAT HAD COME FROM THE BACK OF THE FUSE PANEL HAD BEEN CUT VERY SHORT AND SPLICED INTO THE WIRING HARNESS THAT THE DEALER REPLACED. *SCC *JB

STEERING WHEEL MOVES IN AND OUT A LOT. IT IS A 1995 DODGE RAM PU. THERE WAS RECALL WORK DONE TO THE STEERING IN 1997. TOOK TO DODGE DEALER SAID THEY WILL NOT REPAIR. UNLESS I PAY FOR THE WORK. CALLED CHRYSLER THEY SAID THE SAME THING.

THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RUN OUT OF GAS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WARMED UP, IT SHUT OFF. THE CONSUMER FELT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. *NLM THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF CAUSING CONSUMER TO PULL OVER. DEALER NOTIFIED. *MR THE DEALER COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. ON ONE OCCASION IT HAD TAKEN THREE HOURS TO DRIVE FIVE MILES. THE CONSUMER WAS GIVEN AN EXPERT OPINION AND WAS TOLD IT WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH WAS REPLACED BUT LATER CUT OFF FOUR MORE TIMES.
