I OWNED A 1999 COACHMAN FUTURA LITE TRAVEL TRAILER RM 2652 SERIAL NUMBER 82202673. WE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE REFRIGERATOR FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE. I DID NOT HER ABOUT THE DOMETIC REFRIGERATOR RECALL. THE TRAVEL TRAILER BURNED TO THE GROUND. A SLEEPING MOTHER AND A 3 YER OLD ESCAPED, THE PETS - A MOTHER DOG AND PUPPY UNABLE TO BE RESCUED DIED TRAPPED IN THE FIRE. I TALKED TO THE DOMETIC HOTLINE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME A PACKAGE TO MAKE A CLAIM BUT NO PACKAGE ARRIVED AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE COMMUNICATING WITH ANY ONE FROM DOMETIC. I HA…

00V273001 · Seat Belts:Front:Buckle Assembly

Reported: 2000-09-13 (September 13, 2000)

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS A AND C MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES BUILT BY AM-SAFE. ON SOME SEAT BELTS, THE BUCKLE AND CONNECTOR MAY UNLATCH DURING A COLLISION.

Consequence: SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR IF THE VEHICLE OCCUPANT IS NOT PROPERLY RESTRAINED.

Remedy: AM-SAFE IN NOTIFYING CUSTOMERS THAT THEY WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES FREE OF CHARGE.
