Owner report 11610701 · 2024-08-25 (August 25, 2024)
The Passenger Side door mirror is manufactured with flat glass and Not Convex glass. The flat glass field of view is not nearly wide enough for this large truck. This flat glass combined with the width of the truck (distance from the driver's head/eyes to the passenger door mirror), height and length of the truck creates a substantial risk for an accident while traveling on the roadway, highway or even maneuvering while parking. It is impossible to adjust the flat glass mirror to indicate a smaller car to the right side of this truck, and at…

Owner report 11625529 · 2024-11-15 (November 15, 2024)
Vehicle does not indicate when rear doors are ajar or not properly latched. Vehicle information center shows when front doors or frunk is open. Results are either door swinging open when not properly latched or in my case, as the vehicle does not know that the doors are open, immediately locking the vehicle with the fob in my bag on the rear seat. I disabled the walk away locking feature for now as I only have 30 days of remote services with the vehicle to unlock vehicle from my phone. Vehicle is currently at Chevy dealer for troubleshooting.…

Owner report 11628938 · 2024-12-04 (December 4, 2024)
When the rear doors are opened on the truck, the interior lights do not come on which is a hassle when securing an infant in a car seat. Further to this, the door ajar symbol on the dash does not come on for either rear door, it does come on for the front doors. I talked to GM about this and they said that since it's a WT model with the base lighting there are no rear door lights or sensors. I found another person with the same model truck where there dealer found the same problem but fixed it.

Owner report 11628941 · 2024-12-04 (December 4, 2024)
The rear passenger door sensors are not working on my vehicle as delivered from the factory/dealer. Upon opening the rear doors, there is no indication on the instrument panel/dome illumination as is present for the front passenger doors. With 4 independent doors it would appear to be a possible safety concern as the rear doors could unknowingly be open while driving. This issue has been discussed by several Silverado EV WT owners at the forum (linked below) and at least one dealer has diagnosed the issue as a missing ground wire on the do…

Rear door sensors do not work. No dash light or dome light to indicate if a door is open or adjar. If a child is in the back seat doors could be left open and the driver would not know.
