THE TRUCK HAVE ABS. WHEN APPLYING BRAKES THE VEHICLE WILL NOT STOP. TT CONSUMER STATES MOSTLY UNDER HEAVY BRAKING, THE BRAKES DO NOTHING, A FULL PEDAL BUT NO RESPONSE, CONSUMER REQUESTED THE ABS BE REMOVED, HOWEVER GM WOULD NOT DO REPAIR, BRAKES USUALLY DISAPPEAR FOR UP TO 10 TO 20 FEET. *SLC

Reported: 1994-07-07 (July 7, 1994)
THE LOWER CONTROL ARM CAN CRACK AT THE FLANGE ON THE END OF THE CONTROL ARM NEAR THE BALL JOINT PAD.
Consequence: THE BALL JOINT CAN SEPARATE FROM THE CONTROL ARM RESULTING IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REINFORCEMENT BRACE ON EACH OF THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS.
