WHILE PULLING AN RV TRAILER AT APPROX. 55 MPH IN POS 3 OF 4 SPEED AUTO TRANSMISSION THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AND VEHICLE AND CONTENTS WERE TOTALLY DESTROYED. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF OVERHEATING ON GAUGE AND VEHICLE WAS PERFORMING NORMALLY. THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED ON SCENE AND PREVENTED FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE RV TRAILER. *JB

I JUST BOUGHT THIS VAN USED AND THE OWNER TOLD ME SHE NEVER TOOK IT IN TO HAVE RECALLS 90V074000 AND 91V040000 DONE. I HAVE THIS VAN AT THE TURNER CHEVROLET, MONTROSE, CO AND THEY SAY THE VIN IS INVALID BUT THE LOCAL TITLE AND CAR FAX SAYS IT IS? I DID A TRANSLITERATION AND THE 9TH DIGIT DIDNT MATCH THE REMAINDER SO THUS IS INVALID. I NEED TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK DONE!

DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE MOTOR THERE WAS TOO MUCH TENSION ON THE BELT BOLT. BOLT NOT STRONG ENOUGH WHICH CAUSED BELT TO FAIL/ DAMAGING RADIATOR, AND BREAKING THE BRACKET. CONSUMER NOTED THAT PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED WITHIN THE LAST THREE YEARS. DEALER HAS REPLACED THE BOLT, BELT AND THE BRACKET. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK

SEAT BACK OF THE REAR BENCH SEAT MAY BREAK AWAY FROM THE SEAT CUSHION IN AN ACCIDENT.
Consequence: SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD BE SUBJECT TO GREATER INJURY; VEHICLEWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 207.
Remedy: INSTALL REINFORCEMENT THAT RUNS FROM SIDE OF SEAT BACK FRAME ASSEMBLY TO SEAT CUSHION FRAME ASSEMBLY, STRENGTHENING THE SEAT BACK.
