I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE DEALER, COMPLAINT #990031. IT INVOLVES THE CONDITION OF THE EXTERIOR PAINT JOB. AT THIS TIME, THE PAINT IF PEELING OFF IN CHUNKS! I CALL IT THE CHEVY TEAR-A-WAY PAINT JOB. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE WARRANTY IS GONE- TOO BAD! IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET SATISFACTION? THE VECHICLE HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS AND THERE ARE NO UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WOULD EFFECT THE PAINT TO COME OFF IN THIS MANNER, OTHER THAN A POOR PAINT JOB. Reported: 1991-03-11 (March 11, 1991)

SEAT BACK OF THE REAR BENCH SEAT MAY BREAK AWAY FROM THE SEAT CUSHION IN AN ACCIDENT.

Consequence: SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD BE SUBJECT TO GREATER INJURY; VEHICLEWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 207.

Remedy: INSTALL REINFORCEMENT THAT RUNS FROM SIDE OF SEAT BACK FRAME ASSEMBLY TO SEAT CUSHION FRAME ASSEMBLY, STRENGTHENING THE SEAT BACK.
