Owner report 11555968 · 2023-11-20 (November 20, 2023)
seat belt fully retracted and could not be released in first day. had to drive 155 miles without operating seatbelt. this is a safety issue. My build date was 9/22 if you look at the forums this was not the only car built that day with a failed seat belt. seems like bad parts to me.

hi there have 2024 C8 Corvette purchased new in April 2024. Vehicle interior is the tan leather including the dash board. Due to the light color, sunlight reflects off of the dash cover causing severe glare and visibility. The HUD display makes it worse. (FYI: Our other vehicle has a black dash and HUD with no problems or issues) Have already had 2 incidents where , while making right turns from a stop, almost hit pedestrians. Passenger (Wife), saw pedestrians from her angle and I was able to stop. when the sun refracts just right washin…

Owner report 11596137 · 2024-06-24 (June 24, 2024)
I got locked in my car while a software update was taking place. I was running errand on a very hot day, I went to exit the car and the infotainment system did not shut off like usual, on the info screen was a very dim notice to start a software update, I hit the start now button, exited the car, did my business in the bank, went back to my car, used the electric button to open the door, got in and closed the door. When in the car I tried to start it...it would not start. After checking around the car was dead as if someone had pulled the batte…

Owner report 11598689 · 2024-07-03 (July 3, 2024)
On July 1st, I had a defect in the electrical system of my Corvette nearly causing a major accident with several cars and trucks due to a immediate and unexpected loss of engine and propulsion. I was driving about 75 mph on highway in busy traffic. Car randomly and without any human input - flashed a false alarms for an open hood, although the hood was actually latched and perfectly closed. Alarms stated "close hood now, speed limited to 25 mph". Due to the fault, the car lost all ability to accelerate and quickly lost speed. As the car …

Owner report 11603188 · 2024-07-18 (July 18, 2024)
Reoccurrences of car losing all accleration while driving on highway, creating near pile up accidents due again on 7/16. Car gets a false warning signal that the front trunk hatch is open, when it is actually not; others report false Neutral signal; The car front trunk is properly latched, and there is no actual safety concern. However, the car immediate and without warning has the driver lose all power. I have now nearly been in 3 deadly accidents due to this failure over the past few weeks. Dealers and GM have not been helpful at all. I…

Owner report 11613169 · 2024-09-07 (September 7, 2024)
My 2024 Chevrolet Convertible has a safety issue with the Rear Vision Camera display. It has a severe reddish tint that blurs images when backing up but only when dark. Pictures attached. Is this truly normal? I wouldn’t think GM would engineer a safety issue and this is an aberration on my vehicle. Should be camera be moved? I really love the car, but this prevents me from using it at safely at night. Picture attached.
