WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP ( AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH) THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED RESULTING IN HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE. AS MY CAR WAS ACCELERATING I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE AS HARD AS POSSIBLE BUT IT ONLY SLIGHTLY SLOWED THE VEHICLE. I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AS IT WAS ABOUT 3 FEET FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME AND I HIT THAT VEHICLE AT A MUCH SLOWER SPEED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED. IT OCCURRED PREVIOUSLY ON APPROXIMATELY JUNE 2008. *TR

UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AS I WAS APPROACHING A TRAFFIC CIRCLE I STARTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES, THE ENGINE STARTED TO ACCELERATE. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AS HARD AS I COULD AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I TURNED THE OFF THE CAR AND IT STOPPED BUT AT THE SAME TIME I HIT THE BUMPER OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED. FOR THIS LAST INCIDENT I CHECKED AND MY FOOT WAS ONLY ON THE BRAKE PEDDLE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION BECAME STUCK IN SECOND AND THIRD GEARS. THE KARTOW DEALER IN EAST JORDAN, MICHIGAN WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
