CONSUMER STATES THAT LAST WEEK SHE COULD NOT GET INTO VEHICLE, BECAUSE BATTERY WAS GONE. SHE CALLED AAA, AND THEY GAVE HER A JUMP START, AND SHE DROVE VEHICLE TO WORK, IT WAS OK, UNTIL SHE WAS READY TO COME HOME. SHE HAD TO GET ANOTHER JUMP. SHE HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER, AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. SHE ALSO STATED THAT AAA TOLD HER IT LOOKED AS THROUGH ACID WAS LEAKING ALL OVER BATTERY. SHE WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE VEHICLE BECAUSE WHEN SHE GOT WHERE SHE IS GOING IT MIGHT NOT BRING HER BACK HOME.*AK

THE ORIGINAL MOTOR IN THIS VEHICLE IS DEFECTIVE. POOR DESIGN DOES NOT ALLOW THE OUTSIDE CYLINDERS TO COOL PROPERLY RESULTING IN A SCORCHING AND BREAKDOWN OF THE PISTON, RINGS AND CYLINDER WALLS. GM IS WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM (AND HAS BEEN FOR SOME TIME) AND IT IS LARGE ENOUGH THAT GM IS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROVIDE ENOUGH REPLACEMENT MOTORS TO CUSTOMERS. *LA
