The contact owns a Biltwell Bonanza helmet. The contact stated that while driving a 2023 Can-Am Spyder F3 at 60 MPH in windy weather, the helmet visor unexpectedly detached. The contact emailed the helmet retailer to make them aware of the failure. The helmet was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

On April 8, 2026, while riding on a busy 8 Lane (4 each direction) interstate during evening rush hour, I experienced immediate loss of propulsion when I attempted to engage the throttle. There was absolutely no power, just a grinding noise. I immediately put on my hazard lights and began working my way over toward the right berm. The exit was within a very short distance and I was able to exit the interstate and pulled in to the first road I could. I had to put my Can Am Spyder in neutral so my husband could push me off to the side of the road…

23V856000 · Visibility:Rearview Mirrors/Devices
Reported: 2023-12-17 (December 17, 2023)
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (Bombardier) is recalling certain 2023 Can-Am F3 and F3-S motorcycles. The rearview mirror lens may dislodge from the housing.
Consequence: A detached rearview mirror lens can decrease rear visibility for the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install new mirror assemblies, free of charge. Letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed January 25, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed January 22, 2024. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Bombardier's number for this recall is Bulletin 2023-9. This recall is an expansion of Recall 23V-053.
