Owner report 10983890 · 2017-05-07 (May 7, 2017)
ON SATURDAY MAY 6, 2017 I TEST DROVE A 2016 CAN AM SPYDER F3. IT WAS A CLEAR, BUT CHILLY AND WINDY DAY IN NORTH EAST GEORGIA. I HAD PREARRANGED A TEST RIDE WITH MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS IN BUFORD, GA. THE MACHINE WAS PREVIOUSLY OWNED, BUT HAD LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE ISSUE: WHILE TRAVELING IN THE RIGHT-MOST LANE IN I 85 NORTH, ON CRUISE CONTROL AND TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 69 MPH, THE TRAFFIC WELL AHEAD OF ME STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. I IMMEDIATELY DISENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL AND BEGAN TO COAST THE MACHINE. I THEN NOTICED THE T…

Owner report 11468576 · 2022-06-10 (June 10, 2022)
2016 CanAm Spyder F3 Limited had a bad front sprocket. Began making noise & vibrating when on the road. Took it to the dealer & it was the front sprocket that is now under recall. I had the Spyder repaired at the cost of $465.46. I notified CanAm of my expenses to replace the sprocket & provided the bill from the dealer. They are refusing to now refund my expenses for the repair. They want to give me a credit towards CanAm products which I do not want any CanAm products. I want a refund for what I spent to fix the Spyder which is now und…

Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Can-Am Spyder F3 and RT motorcycles. The front sprocket may be defective and prematurely wear, resulting in a loss of drive power.
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will perform an interim repair until parts become available. Once parts are available, the front sprocket will be replaced, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2022. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222.
