I HAVE MANY THINGS GOING ON. IT SURGES FORWARD WHEN I START IT, SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON/OFF. USES OIL AND ANTI-FREEZE. BACK BRAKES MAKES NOISE WHEN I BACKUP, LEAKS WATER THROUGH THE DRIVER DOOR. UNCONTROLABLE ON SNOW. FRONT TIRES ARE WEARING ON THE INSIDE. MY TRACTION CONTROL SEEMS TO BE ACTING UP. I BOUGHT IT WITH 48,000 MILES ON IT, AND IT HAS 53,000 MILES ON IT NOW. *TR

Owner report 10598127 · 2014-06-13 (June 13, 2014)
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND MY POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO SHOULDER. STOPPED CAR. WAITED. STARTED CAR AND POWER STEERING WAS BACK. CHECKED ON LINE, 2009 CHEVY MALIBU HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS. CALLED DEALER, HE DID SEARCH VIA MY VIN AND MY CAR DID NOT COME UP AS PART OF THIS RECALL. THIS IS DANGEROUS. *JS

Owner report 10853208 · 2016-04-04 (April 4, 2016)
WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN EXITING OFF A HIGHWAY, THE POWER STEERING BECAME STIFF MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO TURN. I HAVE MENTIONED NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT THE POWER STEERING ISSUE WITH THE 2009 CHEVY TRAVERSE AND IT SEEMS LIKE NO NO WIL DO ANYTHING UNTIL A TRAGIC ACCIDENT HAPPENS. BUT YET A POWER STEERING RECALLS CAN GO OUT FOR CAPRICE POLICE PURSUIT VEHICLES.

Owner report 10455432 · 2012-04-16 (April 16, 2012)
PUTTING ANY ELECTRICAL IPOD, PHONE, LAPTOP OR ETC. ON PASSENGER SEAT SETS OFF SERVICE AIR BAG. I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THAT PROBLEM. ALL I GET FROM THE DEALERSHIP IS THAT GM SAYS DON'T DO THAT. WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT THERE IS NO AIRBAG PROTECTION FOR THEM. I HAVE A CHRYSLER ALSO WITH PROBLEM AS THIS. *JS

Owner report 10916470 · 2016-10-17 (October 17, 2016)
RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR FILLED WITH WATER AFTER RAIN, SHORTED SPEAKER THUS FAR. UNKNOWN IF OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS COMPROMISED BY WATER FILLED DOOR. I FEAR THAT ELECTRICAL SWITCH IN DOOR CAN LEAD TO ELECTRICAL SHOCK TO CHILD WHO SEATS REAR SEAT BECAUSE OF WATER THAT WAS PRESENT. SEALS APPEAR TO BE IN WORKING CONDITION WITH NO TEARS OR SPLITS. MANUALLY PULLED BOTTOM SEAL TO DRAIN WATER.

Owner report 10824828 · 2016-02-08 (February 8, 2016)
GAS SMELL INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF CAR. READ RECALL 12V459000. THIS INCLUDED 2007 MODELS IN AZ, CA, NV, FL, AND TX. 2008 MODEL ONLY COVERS AZ. IS THIS A LOOP HOLE BY GM CONSIDERING A POSSIBILITY THAT 2008 MODELS MIGHT BE MORE COMMON. I DON'T SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN 07-08 GIVEN SAME PARTS WERE PROBABLY USED AND WHY ONLY AZ IN A ONE YEAR MANUFACTURING DIFFERENCE. I KNOW RECALL CONFRONTATION IS NOT GM'S FORTE.
