Reported: 2004-10-14 (October 14, 2004) · Model years: 2004

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THERE MAY BE A POOR WELD ON THE REAR SUSPENSION UNIT BODY.

Consequence: FAILURE OF THE REAR SUSPENSION UNIT MAY COMPROMISE THE STABILITY OF THE MOTORCYCLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE REAR SUSPENSION UNITS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 20, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 1-678-854-2010.

08V624000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Foundation Components:Disc:Caliper

Reported: 2008-11-26 (November 26, 2008) · Model years: 2008, 2009

TRIUMPH IS RECALLING 87 MY 2008-2009 THRUXTON MOTORCYCLES. THE INSTALLED FRONT BRAKE CALIPER BRACKET BOLTS MAY BE TOO SHORT, REDUCING THREAD ENGAGEMENT OF THE BOLTS INTO THE BRAKE CALIPER BRACKET.

Consequence: THE BRAKE CALIPER MAY BECOME LOOSE OR SEPARATED RESULTING IN REDUCED BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS, LOSS CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: TRIUMPH WILL REPLACE THESE BOLTS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 12, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 1-678-539-8782.

14V694000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Fuel Injection System:Injectors

Reported: 2014-11-03 (November 3, 2014) · Model years: 2014

Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD (Triumph) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Triumph Thunderbird, Thunderbird ABS, Tiger 800,Tiger 800 ABS, Thruxton, and Bonneville motorcycles manufactured February 6, 2014, to August 7, 2014. The engine control unit may improperly activate the fuel injectors.

Consequence: Improper signalling to, and activation of, the fuel injectors could cause the engine to unexpectedly lose power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will modify the internal ECU hardware, free of charge. The recall began December 4, 2014. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SB519.

18V084000 · Electrical System:Software | Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine

Reported: 2018-01-31 (January 31, 2018) · Model years: 2016, 2017, 2018

Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD (Triumph) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Thruxton and Thruxton R motorcycles. The engine may stall if the throttle is open or closed quickly while the clutch lever is pulled in.

Consequence: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will update the engine management software, free of charge. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is 33.

20V015000 · Structure:Motorcycle:Kickstand/Center Stand

Reported: 2020-01-15 (January 15, 2020) · Model years: 2016, 2017, 2018

Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD (Triumph) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Thruxton, 2016-2019 Thruxton R and 2020 Thruxton TFC motorcycles. The side stand spring may fracture, possibly allowing the side stand switch to activate and shut off the engine.

Consequence: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand spring, free of charge. The recall began February 24, 2020. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SRAN 570.
