My bike started to have some problems while riding, especially when turning right the engine will just cut off so I stopped riding because it was kind of scary. The bike did not start at all unless the handlebar was turned all the way to the left only, trying over and over, it looks like there is a short just like the recall. I was finally able to take the bike to the shop on my own coin, it took a bit over a week to get diagnosed and repaired which is not bad at all. THE OEM LOCKING FUEL CAP DOES NOT TIGHTEN SECURELY. I WAS RIDING AT HIGHWAY SPEED 44.8 MILES AND TWO DAYS AFTER FILLING WITH GASOLINE. THE FUEL CAP CAME OFF AND I WAS SOAKED WITH GASOLINE. FORTUNATELY I WAS GOING FAST ENOUGH THE FUEL DID NOT GET ON THE EXHAUST, JUST MY CLOTHING. HAD THE FUEL VAPORS IGNITED FROM THE HOT EXHAUST, I WOULD HAVE BEEN ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. I WAS GOING FAST WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND THE AIR TURBULENCE ACROSS THE OPEN FUEL TANK PULLED THE FUEL OUT IF THE TANK AND DIRECTLY BACK ONTO MY CHEST…
