I WAS AT A RED-LIGHT AND MY GAS LIGHT CAME ON, AS I WENT TO GO WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE BIKE STUTTERED AND SLOWLY WENT. THE GAS LIGHT WENT OFF IN ABOUT A 1/2 MILE, I WAS GOING TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION RIGHT AFTER THE NEXT LIGHT I CAME TO AND THEN MY GAS LIGHT CAME BACK ON ALONG WITH THE OIL LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, THE BIKES RPMS DROPPED AND SHUT OFF. THERE WAS A CAR COMING UP FAST BEHIND ME THAT WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND ALMOST HIT ME AND STARTED HONKING THEIR HORN AT ME. I THEN HAD TO RUN MY BIKE ACROSS A BUSY ROAD DURING MEM…

WHILE TRAVELING ON THE FREEWAY AT 60MPH, MY REGULATOR/RECTIFIER QUITE WORKING CAUSING THE ENGINE LOST COMPLETE POWER. I WAS FORCED TO PULL OVER AND CROSS 3 LAND OF HEAVY TRAFFIC AVOIDING AND MANAGED TO AVOID GETTING HIT SEVERAL TIMES. *TR AFTER CALLING SEVERAL DEALERS, I TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT EVEN BRAND NEW MOTORCYCLES HAVE COME BACK WITH THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT ARE FIXED ONLY TO COME BACK 7K MILES LATE WITH THE SAME REGULATOR/RECTIFIER PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
