The contact's wife leased a 2021 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while his wife was pulling into a parking space, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond. He stated that his wife continued to depress the brake pedal but it would not respond, causing the vehicle to crash into trees. The air bags failed to deploy. Can not turn off the lane departure warning (LDW) feature. It can only be placed at a low setting. Surging when depressing brake. Noticed this occurring when slowing pulling into the garage, was not a deal breaker as was barely moving and never got to close to hit anything else in the garage. The contact owns a 2021 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission and power steering failed to operate as designed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle acceleration and the power steering functions were sluggish. Took my car in to the dealership when the SRS light came on. Dealership initially said it was due to damage to the electrical harness We paid over 8000 for repairs and got our car back. We had to take the vehicle back 2 more times as the light kept coming back on. The final fix the dealership did to finally make the SRS light stop coming back is the same thing for the fix for the recall for the SRS in Toyotas even though my vin is not on the list

My son hit a tree at an estimated speed of 45 (As estimated by the accident report) and the car went in flame burning completely my son and the entire inside of the car. I am amazed at a new car that does not have enough front crash support and most important the fuel pump should have shut off due to hitting the front to prevent the car from being burned. Yes, my son died in the accident but we did not have the chance to see him because of the fire, we have only bones to bury.

Our 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid is spurting gasoline out of the area where the gas cap is and the gas is flowing down the side of the car. The problem has something to do with overpressurizing the gas tank when the temperature changes outside from cold to warm. This can happen while the car is in motion and creates an explosion risk. On a cold morning if you let the car sit while the temperature rises you can actually video the gas dripping down from the gas cap. I have video of this happening and many photos of the resulting stains on the side…
