Two issues, both resulting in derating to 5 mph on a busy freeway. The DEF sensor has had repeated failures, resulting in 7 generations of DEF sensors, all of which have had repeated failures. Without reprogramming by Cummins, a DEF simulator, or DEF sensor replacement, the engine derates to 5mph upon 2 restarts. This results in a dangerous driving situation unless the vehicle is towed. RV was stored in an enclosed metal garage plugged into 50 amp service. Fire began in the basement compartment behind passengers seat where numerous electrical controllers are located such as; inverter, solar panel controller, awning controller, etc. Fire consumed the entire RV before fire department was able to extinguish the flames, building was also destroyed. Nobody was hurt or inside the RV although if someone was in the RV death or serious injury could have resulted. Manufacturer would not inspect the RV while it was sitting on site for 7 …

On Sunday, May 21, 2023 we were traveling e/b on Highway 40 in Albuquerque when an amber mil light and check engine light appeared on the dash followed with sluggish engine performance. We exited the highway (#175) and pulled over. SPN 94 FMI 17, SPN 157 FMI 18. After about 15 minutes and engine restart only the mil remained. We got back on the freeway and the event re-occurred. The contact owns a 2018 Tiffin Allegro Breeze. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH, the air brakes failed due to low air pressure. The contact stated that he was safely able to pull off the road to avoid a crash. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18E112000 (Engine and Engine Cooling).
